Training forum in Bansko
Training within the framework of project “Specialized services for children from Roma communities in conflict or contact with the law” was held from June 11 to 13 at the Casa Karina hotel, Bansko. Its purpose was directly aimed at the general goal of the project: to introduce and develop an effective integrated approach aimed at improving the status and opportunities of children in contact with the law in three Roma communities in Bulgaria, as well as at one of its specific goals: to improve cooperation with local institutions and stakeholders in the three municipalities and increase their capacity to work with children in contact with the law.
The training forum was attended by representatives of the relevant institutions from Pazardzhik, as well as the team of the Center for Counseling and Legal Assistance for Children. Topics such as: Children’s rights in conflict with the law, Principles and approaches for assessing the risk of behavioral deviations in children and minors, Structured risk assessment tool (SRI) and others were presented. Each of the topics was accompanied by a discussion.
Project “Specialized services for children from Roma communities in conflict or contact with the law”, Contract MP No. 93-00-145/12.10.2022, is financed by the Justice Program of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and is implemented in three regions – Pazardjik, Plovdiv and Lom. Partners in its implementation are the “Roma-Lom” Foundation, the “Roma” Regional Development Foundation – Plovdiv and Save a child – Norway.
